About our Founder:
Having studied dance for over 20 years, Founder Jenna Fleetwood has seen first hand how dance can change lives. She has spent her life witnessing others experience confidence, joy, and self-expression through dance. Her passion is for the broken, the hurting, and the unloved, and it has been in working with children like this that Jenna has discovered her true calling.
In 2008, Jenna graduated high school with a closet full of dance costumes she had collected from dance recitals over the years and finally needed to find a home for them before setting off for college. When she learned that there wasn't an organization around that was helping repurpose used costumes, a dream was birthed in her heart! Traveling Tutus took off with unbelievable support and has since grown tremendously. Over the past 8 years, Traveling Tutus has sent costumes and dance attire to hundreds of children around the world in children's homes, orphanages and other non-profit organizations. The outpouring of generosity from studios and dance families has been enormous. Through the giving of new and gently used dance attire, kindness and love is being shared with children around the world.
